Shreyasi Singh – the 26 year old Indian shooter, was born on 29th August 1991 in New Delhi, Capital of the country. It is also believed that New Delhi is her home town and she has been living there with her parents ever since her child hood.

She is a professional shooter by profession and has participated in a number of championships and shooting events representing the Country. She had managed to bring honor to the nation in Commonwealth Games and Asian Games in multiple events.

Family information

Shreyasi Singh has been staying with her family at New Delhi. Her Grand father and her father (Kumar Surendra Singh and Digvijay Singh) both have been known for their contributions made to the sports for the country.

Her father and grand father have been professionally associated with the shooting sports as they were appointed as President for the NRA (National Rifle Association) of India. Apart from this Shreyasi Singh’s father was also appointed as the former Union Minister for the country.

Career Information

  • Mexico – Shreyasi Singh was one of the team members who had participated in the Mexico – Acapulco 2013 Trap Shooting world cup events. She competed in the event and managed to win herself and the country to be placed at 15 Position.
  • Asian Games – Shreyasi Singh had also competed in the 2014 Asian Games events held at the Incheon. For the event she had teamed up with Varsha Varman and Shagun Chowdhary as a team for the Double Trap events. She managed to win a Bronze medal in the event.
  • Common Wealth Games – For the first time Shreyasi Singh had represented the country in the 2010 Common Wealth Games for shooting. She had competed for pairs and singles Trap events that were held at New Delhi. For the single trap events Shreyasi managed to take 6th position while with Pair trap events she managed to take 5th position and won the championships. In 2014 Common Wealth Games held at Glasgow Shreyasi Singh managed to win a Silver medal for the country in finals after scoring 92 points in Singles Double trap events. Recently in 2018 Common Wealth Games at Gold Coast Shreyasi Singh manages to win a Gold medal in Double Trap events.

With complete list of medals and championships to her credit, Shreyasi Singh does have a very bright future representing the country for her sports.
