Prithvi Shaw has been competing in cricket for much of his life. He first started competing in the sport at six years of age at Shivaji Park. He built upon his talent over time and eventually attended Rizvi Springfield off of a sports quota. He captained his school’s side for the Harris Shield title in 2012 and scores of more than 150 on two separate matches en route to that championship.
He soon attended the Cheadle Hulme School in Cheshire thanks to the support of Cricket Beyond Boundaries. Over time he received a contract from AAP Entertainment and a sponsorship from Indian Oil. Shaw has been competing with many other youth cricket stars from around the world in the Yorkshire ECB County Premier League. He competed with the Cleethorpes club in the summer of 2014 while in Yorkshire.
Shaw is a right hand batsman and a right arm off-break bowler. He has an all-around concentration in his game. He focuses on being an opening batsman and has been a major leader on his side. Shaw was heavily influenced by cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, one of the top figures in the field.
