Ankit Saxena Biography Murder Case Girl Friend

Ankit Saxena was a young professional photographer from Delhi. The young man was brutally killed by his lady love’s family due to communal issues between the boy and the girl’s family. On Thursday, 1st February 2018, Ankit was killed on a busy road in Delhi by the father of his girlfriend. Before they slit his throat, he was brutally beaten by uncles and brother of the girl.

Family Background

Ankit belongs to a Delhi based family. His father Yashpal Saxena and his mother Kamlesh Saxena were living with him. Ankit was born in the year 1995. He was 23 years old when he was killed.

Girl friend

Ankit was in relationship with Delhi based girl aged 20 years. The girl was not from his community. The girl belongs to a Delhi based Muslim family. It is reported that due to being a Hindu boy, the family of the girl had killed the boy.


Ankit was returning home from work on Thursday evening when he was murdered. Ankit was called by his girlfriend’s father. He went to meet him at Raghuvir Chowk near West Delhi. He was continuously beaten by uncles and brother of the girl until Ankit’s mother intervened and was beaten by the girl’s mother.

Ankit’s mother was left broken her ribs. While trying to save his mother, Ankit was held by the girl’s family members. On the other, the girl’s father slashed open Ankit’s throat and threw him to the edge of the road. He was taken to DDU hospital where he was declared dead.

Communal Tension

The girl’s family has claimed that the boy was trying to kidnap their daughter which is wrong, as per the girl’s statement. As the boy was from the different community, family of the girl wasn’t in favour of their relationship. Hence they attacked and killed Ankit Saxena. This is not a rare scene in India, as a large part of the nation is still against intercommunity relationship or marriage. In the name of community or family ‘honour’ many young people lose their lives every day.
